My most memorable experience on a boat
by Joshua Webb, age 17
| I have to say the most
memorable experience I can think of on a boat is when we went through the
Panama Canal. I was only 5 or 6 at the time but I remember it pretty
clearly. It was amazing watching the water fall. At the beginning of the locks they threw lines down with monkeys fists attached. Then, people would walk along the lock walls guiding the boats. One thing that sticks out in my mind is when we were going through one of the locks there was a ship following. The bow of this ship was higher than our mast. It really was a humbling sight. |
